Our CEO Nominated for Pyne Awards!
Our MD/CEO Regina Olarewaju has recently been nominated by the prestigious Pyne Awards in the Best Innovation Using Technology category.
Regina found this company in January, 2015 alongside her business partner Kolawole Olarewaju who is the Creative Director for the Company.
Regina is an entrepreneur, technology enthusiast, strategic planner and branding expert with over 7 years of experience. She has led the Gidi Virtual Tours team to become a force to be reckoned within the Virtual Reality space. An uncharted territory back in 2015, Regina boldly started Gidi Virtual Tours borne out of a personal need to view real estate properties with ease from the comfort of her mobile device. She had just become a new mother and relocated to Lagos in 2015 and was looking for a new apartment that could accommodate her growing family. It was a daunting experience for her, being stuck in traffic for hours with a newborn, getting to the properties after over 4 hours and not being able to appreciate the viewings. This was how Gidi Virtual Tours was born, she began to research into ways people could have full 360 degrees access to properties without being there in person.
Regina launched the first virtual reality experience in Africa at the Real Estate Unite Event in 2015, from then virtual tours became a must have for not just the Real estate industry but a plethora of other industries such as hospitality, education, tourism, aviation. She has taken on big brands and clients in Nigeria such as Transcorp Hilton, Sun International, Heirs Holdings, Lagos State Government, Price Water Coopers, Mixta Africa, Main One, Greensprings Schools, Corona Schools, to mention a few.
Gidi Virtual Tours has contributed immensely to the Hospitality & Tourism Industry in Nigeria by introducing the use of Virtual Tours & Virtual Reality as a smart marketing tool for businesses to connect with potential customers all over the world. With this technology, potential customers can have a feel of hotel rooms from anywhere in the world before booking, which highly amplifies the experience and also creates interactivity.
Regina is on a mission to recruit all businesses within the Hospitality & Tourism in Africa into the use of Virtual reality as a marketing tool and she is well on her way to doing so.
